Serving is an essential part of being a church! As such, we strive to provide opportunities for people to serve within the church body. Some such ways are through our services and gatherings throughout the week. It is our hope that these opportunities will propel people in our church to find other ways to serve in their day-to-day lives.

It is paramount that a church shows hospitality inside and out. The Hospitality & Welcome team is responsible for providing an inviting environment those attending gatherings or events of The Refuge by welcoming people, offering refreshments when provided, and volunteering to give info about our regular gatherings & special events.

Care Team

Adjacent to hospitality, caring for people is vital and requires a compassionate heart. The Care Team will be responsible for sending cards, care packages, planning/delivering meals, and responding to other needs of people within the church as they arise.

Finance team

Finances are essential to ministry. They allow us to provide and serve the church as well as our community. The Finance Team assists the treasurer in collection, counting, accounting/deposit duties, & budget development.

“Open House” Host

Open House is one of our midweek gatherings where we invite others to meet people from our church and cultivate the relationships we have with one another. Hosts open their homes to offer people community and connection.

“Deep Dive” Facilitator

Deep Dive is exactly that: a deep dive into biblical teaching and truth. Facilitators lead & facilitate these studies each week to disciple people in their understanding and application of God’s Word.

Student ministry is geared towards teaching, serving, and interacting with middle and high school students. Lead, facilitate, & attend group activities/events for these impressionable minds towards a deeper relationship with Jesus.

the Refuge Rugrats & Rascals

Kids are a critical part of any church, representing not only the future generation of the church, but also an important role of growing in knowledge of Jesus and serving Him from a young age. Serving the ‘Rugrats & Rascals’ means preparing a lesson and activities for the kids during our Sunday “Reunion”.

Music Worship

Worship through music is one of just a few ways we are able to worship God collectively. Anyone serving in this area will sing/play in the song portion of our Sunday gatherings, as well as at other events where there are such opportunities.

Media/Design

God is a creator who has made us creative beings. Some ways we are able to create is through design and media. Help our Sunday “Reunion” gathering run smoothly each week through sound, production, design, photography, video, etc. Also aid in website, social media, and other public content.
